The National Housing Crisis Task Force and Accelerator for America launched The ROAD to Local Results: A Mayor’s Action Guide for the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which includes seven actions mayors and local leaders can take now to maximize ROAD’s impact to produce more housing more quickly.
Housing affordability and supply remain top-of-mind challenges for local leaders, and federal policy continues to shape the tools and constraints cities are working within. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is a sweeping bipartisan package aimed at boosting housing supply, unlocking private capital, and reducing regulatory barriers to building – with significant implications for how local governments approach housing strategy moving forward.
